Blood Red Throne are a Norwegian death metal band from Kristiansand, founded in 1998 by guitarist Daniel "Død" Olaisen while he was serving as a live guitarist for Satyricon. Widely regarded as one of Norway's purest death metal acts, with a clear debt to the Florida death metal tradition, they have now released 12 studio albums across nearly three decades. The band has toured extensively worldwide, both headlining and supporting acts such as Dimmu Borgir, Enslaved, and Suffocation.
Blood Red Throne released their 12th studio album 'Siltskin' on December 5, 2025 via Soulseller Records.
The band was announced as support on Kataklysm's 32-city European tour 'Freedom or Death' in February-March 2026 together with Vader.
Blood Red Throne released the album 'Nonagon' on January 26, 2024 and performed the same week on the 70000 Tons of Metal cruise.
Sindre Wathne Johnsen took over the vocal position in the band in 2023.
