Bloodbath are a Swedish death metal supergroup from Stockholm, founded in 1998 by members of Opeth, Katatonia and Edge of Sanity. The band has cycled through several vocalists - Mikael Åkerfeldt, Peter Tägtgren and now Nick Holmes of Paradise Lost - while staying true to a raw, old-school sound rooted in Swedish and Floridian death metal. Six studio albums in, including the widely praised 'Nightmares Made Flesh' (2004) and 'Survival of the Sickest' (2022), they remain one of the genre's most respected acts.
