Bob Dylan is an American singer, songwriter and poet, born in 1941 in Minnesota. He rose to prominence in the 1960s folk movement with songs like "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Times They Are a-Changin'", before moving through rock, country and blues across a career spanning more than six decades. In 2016 he became the first musician to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature, awarded for creating "new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition". His Never Ending Tour, launched in 1988, has produced over 3,000 concerts.
