About

Bríet Ísis Elfar, known simply as Bríet, is an Icelandic singer-songwriter born in Reykjavík on 22 March 1999. She started releasing music at 17 and broke through with her 2020 album Kveðja, Bríet, which was named album of the year at the 2021 Icelandic Music Awards. Her sound moves between indie pop, electronic pop and singer-songwriter territory, with releases in both Icelandic and English.
