About

Carina Juul is a Danish nyckelharpa player who together with guitarist Thomas Birch forms the folk music duo En:1, founded in 2017. She previously played in the Balkan/rock band Rækværk and the folk band Rauna. With En:1 she reinterprets Nordic and French dance tunes and writes new melodies, blending the nyckelharpa's medieval drone sound with the guitar's crisp tones.
