Crushing are a rock band from Aarhus, Denmark, working at the intersection of midwest emo, noise rock, post-rock and no wave. They grew out of the creative community around Sydhavnen in Aarhus, and their working method is deliberately raw - one rehearsal, one song, no second-guessing. Their debut album 'Residual Material' (2025) was recorded in a week; the follow-up EP 'voice chat', released on Commotion, earned them airplay on Danish radio P6 BEAT and a slot at SPOT Festival.
Crushing released the EP 'voice chat' on Commotion with six songs recorded live over five days in Sydhavnen, Aarhus.
The lead single 'clothes 2 deaf' from 'voice chat' received coverage in the Belgian FrontView Magazine.
The Danish music media Bands of Tomorrow reviewed 'voice chat' and highlighted the band's loser-core aesthetic and legendary visual identity.
The debut album 'Residual Material' was released in 2025 - recorded in one week and followed by the band's first concerts.
