Einar Már Guðmundsson is an Icelandic author and poet who studied literature at the University of Copenhagen and made his debut in 1980. He has published novels, poetry collections and essays over a long career. His novel "Angels of the Universe" won the Nordic Council's Literature Prize in 1995, and he received the Blixen Medal in 1999.
