H.P. Lange (born 28 April 1963 near Aarhus) is one of Denmark's most seasoned blues musicians, performing professionally since the late 1980s. He plays acoustic delta and country blues on National steel guitar, acoustic guitar and banjo, and a stay in New Orleans in 1994 left a lasting mark on his music. With his band Big Gumbo - mixing blues, zydeco, cajun and mountain music - he has won the Danish Music Award three times and toured extensively across Scandinavia, Europe and the USA.
H.P. Lange Big Gumbo released its third album 'Everything's Alright' on October 4, 2024 on CD, vinyl and streaming.
Bluesnews.dk published a review of 'Everything's Alright' in April 2025 and highlighted the band's unique blend of zydeco, bluegrass and delta blues.
H.P. Lange Big Gumbo performed at Femø Jazz Festival in 2025 and also appeared at a food-and-music concert at Tversted School on July 5, 2025.
