Hans Christian Davidsen (born 1965 in Haderslev) is a journalist, author, photographer and culture editor at Flensborg Avis, the Danish-language newspaper in South Schleswig, where he has worked since 1996. He has published several books on the history and culture of the Danish-German border region and gives lectures on these topics across Denmark. Since 2019 he has been active as a touring speaker and hosts the web TV series »Kultur på grænsen« for Flensborg Avis.
Davidsen tours with a lecture about his new book »Just on the Border - Here the Past is Never Quite Over« (Hovedland, 2025), including in Gråsten and Husumhus in Flensburg.
The magazine Grænsen mentions in October 2025 the book »Just on the Border«, which stems from Davidsen's cycling tours along the Danish-German border.
Davidsen gave a lecture at the Network for Nazi and Holocaust Studies (NNHS) at SDU Odense on June 17, 2025.
Davidsen received the Language Association's Language and Culture Prize in November 2023.
