HEATHE
A six-piece experimental orchestra blending club music, nu-metal, gospel, and free jazz into hypnotic, aggressive soundscapes.
HEATHE are a six-piece from Aalborg who have been building their sound since 2016 around dissonance, repetition, and dense noise collages that pull together handcrafted club rhythms, nu-metal, gospel, and free jazz. Their 2019 debut *On The Tombstones; The Symbols Engraved* - a single track running over 40 minutes - brought them to Roskilde Festival and Vinterjazz. The 2025 double album *Control Your Soul's Desire for Freedom* (Empty Tape / Virkelighedsfjern) extends that vision across 65 minutes, tracing a descent from childhood fears of apocalypse into vividly rendered nightmares of civil war and ecological collapse.
HEATHE performed at A Colossal Weekends 10-year anniversary edition at VEGA in Copenhagen (May 7-9, 2026).
HEATHE was announced as part of the preliminary lineup for A Colossal Weekend 2026 in November 2025.
The double album *Control Your Soul's Desire for Freedom* was released on October 3, 2025 on double vinyl, CD, cassette and digitally via Empty Tape and Virkelighedsfjern.
HEATHE played three Danish release concerts in Aarhus, Aalborg and Copenhagen in connection with the album release.
The single 'Uproar Taking Shape' from the upcoming album had its premiere on IDIOTEQ on September 5, 2025.
