Jeppe på bjerget (Jeppe of the Hill) is a comedy by Ludvig Holberg, first performed in 1722 and one of the cornerstones of Danish dramatic literature. It follows the drunken peasant Jeppe, who wakes up believing himself a baron - a sharp satire on class and power. A production directed by Christian Lollike at Aarhus Teater drew exceptional demand at its premiere and is being revived in late summer 2026.
