Jesper Bo Knudsen is a Danish jazz drummer from Vestjylland who is also affiliated with the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus (Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium). For years he has been the steady drummer in Uffe Steen Trio alongside guitarist Uffe Steen and bassist Thomas Sejthen, a group whose music sits on the border between jazz and blues. Since 2017 he has also performed in the expanded six-piece line-up formed when Uffe Steen Trio joins forces with Vestbo Trio, resulting in releases such as the live album Doppler Effect and the studio album Grooves.
Uffe Steen Trio and Vestbo Trio, with Jesper Bo Knudsen on drums, played together at Teaterbygningen in Køge on September 12, 2026.
The collaboration between Uffe Steen Trio and Vestbo Trio celebrates its 10-year anniversary with a new album and an anniversary tour.
The tour continues to Musikkens Hus in Aalborg on October 23, 2026.
The band also plays Slagelse Musikhus and Badeanstalten on October 24, 2026.
At several of the tour's venues, the sextet positions itself in a special 360-degree formation with the audience around the musicians.
