Uffe Steen Trio has been performing for over 10 years, building a reputation for dynamic and surprising jazz. The trio's repertoire features varied, memorable melodies played with both intensity and humor.

Uffe Steen received the Ben Webster Prize in 2015 - an award reserved for Denmark's finest jazz musicians - and in 2017 won the DMA Prize for best live musician in the blues/jazz genre. The Ben Webster Foundation describes him on benwebster.dk: "Guitarist Uffe Steen plays jazz and blues in his own distinctive way. His sharp, crisp tone on a Fender guitar is instantly recognizable. His playing is driven by great lyrical sensitivity, yet he can also explode into wild intensity when he chooses - which is rarely. Instead, he suggests and holds back, creating an intense tension and smoldering potential in his music. He teases and plays with us. That's what makes him so excellent." Throughout his career, he has collaborated with many respected jazz and blues artists and released five albums: "Hymn To Spring", "Play", "Dust In My Coffee", "Twangz", and most recently "Retroscope".

Thomas Sejthen provides the solid foundation of the trio with his bass, offering a soloistic counterpoint to the guitar. Jesper Bo Knudsen's drumming ensures the music flows and holds together.
