Jesper Lundsby Skov is a Danish historian with a PhD, currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Saxo Institute, University of Copenhagen, specialising in the history of Danish democracy and political ideas. He is the author of "Politik uden demokrati", a study of the intellectual history of the Danish constitutional state, and contributed to the major two-volume "Dansk bibliotekshistorie" published by Aarhus University Press. Alongside his academic work, he gives public lectures connecting historical analysis to contemporary geopolitical questions.
Jesper Lundsby Skov teaches in the lecture series "Why Do Empires Rise and Collapse?" at Folkeuniversitetet in Copenhagen (February-March 2026).
Skov participates as a speaker at Kalundborg Folkeuniversitet's day event "Understand the World with History" about the rise and fall of empires.
Skov gives a presentation on "popular constitutionalism" and the political history of the right of petition at CIS, Faculty of Law, University of Copenhagen.
