Johnny Hefty & Jøden
Danish hip-hop and rap with Johnny Hefty and Jøden at Musik Loppen in Copenhagen.
Michael "Jøden" Mühlebach Christiansen (born 7 August 1974 in Skanderborg) is a Danish rapper who grew up in Aarhus and is now based in Amager, Copenhagen. He debuted with the album Monkeyjuice in 2007 and has since become a fixture in Danish hip-hop, both as a solo artist and as one half of the duo Jonny Hefty & Jøden, whose joint album Den fede (2013) reached number six on the Danish album chart. He is recognised for his thick East Jutland dialect, sharp wordplay and a wit that carries his lyrics from battle rap to party venues - including the popular hip-hop bingo nights he hosts with Jonny Hefty.
A figure of Jøden was launched with the purpose of helping families with children with cancer.
Gaffa brought a large portrait of Jøden on the occasion of his 50th birthday on August 7, 2024.
Jøden released the single "Frikvarter" in 2024.
Jonny Hefty and Jøden announced a joint tour with stops in seven Danish cities in early 2023.
Jøden released Jahudi Beats - an instrumental version of the solo album Jahudi - in 2021.
