Johann Hari is a British journalist and author who grew up in London and studied social and political science at King's College, Cambridge. He has written four New York Times bestsellers - Chasing the Scream (2015), Lost Connections (2018), Stolen Focus (2022) and Magic Pill (2024) - each investigating a major social crisis through deep reportage. His two TED Talks have been viewed more than 93 million times combined, and his books have been translated into 40 languages.
