Julie Berthelsen (born 1979 in Aarhus) grew up in Nuuk, Greenland, and broke through as runner-up on the Danish TV talent show Popstars in 2002. Her debut album Home (2003) sold 90,000 copies, and the single "Every Little Part of Me" spent more than 14 consecutive weeks at number one in Denmark. She has since released five studio albums, starred in the Greenlandic feature film Nuummioq (2009), and since 2018 has toured Denmark every December with her Christmas concert series Nordstjerne.
