Lis Mikkelsen is a Danish author and communicator focused on the history of Southern Jutland. She writes about historical figures from the border region and received the Sprogforeningen Language and Culture Prize in 2026. Her book Ingeborg i røg og kamp tells the story of Ingeborg Refslund Thomsen, a pioneer who fought for women's rights and the Danish minority.
