About

Lykke Friis (born 1969) is a Danish political scientist and one of Denmark's leading experts on European affairs, with a particular focus on Germany. Since 2019 she has directed Think Tank Europa in Copenhagen and serves as co-chair of the European Council on Foreign Relations; she previously held office as Minister of Climate, Energy and Gender Equality and as prorector of the University of Copenhagen. She has received the Rosenkjær Prize and the European Women's Award for making complex EU topics accessible to broad audiences.
