The lecture series "The World at Stake" brings together three speakers for a series on the conflicts and power shifts dominating the news: war in Europe, unrest in the Middle East, and a divided USA. All three lectures are held at Nakskov Library in autumn 2026, 7-9 p.m.

Programme:
• Wednesday 9 September: "Europe's Hour" with Lykke Friis from the think tank Europa
• Thursday 8 October: "The Endless Wars in the Middle East" with security policy adviser Jacob Kaarsbo
• Thursday 5 November: "USA After the Midterm Election" with international commentator Birgitte Borup - two days after the midterm election

Admission per lecture: 100 kr. (80 kr. for subscribers to LollandBibliotekernes newsletter). Combined ticket for all three: 250 kr. (200 kr. with newsletter). Students and young people under 25 pay 25 kr. per lecture - remember valid ID. The combined ticket can only be purchased until 9 September at 7 p.m.; tickets for individual lectures are purchased separately via each lecture.
