Malene Jensen is a Danish journalist and East Asia correspondent with a master's degree in journalism and cultural encounters from Roskilde University and Rikkyo University in Tokyo. She has covered South Korea and Japan for Politiken, Weekendavisen, DR, TV2 and BBC, and serves as a political commentator on the South Korean broadcaster Arirang TV. Jensen speaks Korean and Japanese and is a guest lecturer at Osaka University. In 2026 she published the reportage book 'Et liv uden mænd' (A Life Without Men) on South Korea's gender war.
Malene Jensens reportage book 'A Life Without Men - Stories from South Korea's Gender War' was published on February 13, 2026 by the publisher Svane og Bilgrav and as an audiobook and e-book on Mofibo.
The book received reviews in, among others, Information and POV International, which highlighted Jensen's personal observations from Seoul as the book's strongest element.
Jensen held a course of three lectures on modern South Korea at Folkeuniversitetet in Copenhagen (Domkirkens Hus) in March 2026.
