Nine Below Zero
British blues-rock band Nine Below Zero performs at Rust in Copenhagen.
Nine Below Zero are a British rhythm and blues band from South London, founded in 1977 by guitarist and vocalist Dennis Greaves. They took their name from a Sonny Boy Williamson song and broke through in the early 1980s with relentless live shows and a sound rooted in Chicago blues and pub rock. Their debut 'Live at the Marquee' (1980) and the Glyn Johns-produced 'Don't Point Your Finger' (1981) established their reputation. After a hiatus in the mid-1980s they reunited in 1990 and have toured Europe continuously ever since.
Nine Below Zero released 'Blues Power Volume 1' on September 22, 2025 - the band's first dedicated blues compilation, with material from the last 20 years remixed and remastered by Wayne Proctor.
The band announced a 14-date joint tour with Dr. Feelgood under the title 'A Shot Of Rhythm and Blues', running from November 2025 to April 2026 in the United Kingdom.
Nine Below Zero is booked to play Rust in Copenhagen on September 17, 2026 as part of a Scandinavian leg.
Wikipedia confirms that the band has planned concerts in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Greece and Denmark in 2026.
