Jesper Løvdal brings Paradise Jazz to Brønshøj Kulturhus in Copenhagen on Wednesday, 14 October 2026 at 20:00. The transatlantic jazz quintet brings together musicians from Copenhagen and Hamburg for an evening of classic jazz, improvisations, and works by Thelonious Monk and Wayne Shorter. Brønshøj Kulturhus is housed in the renovated Brønshøj Gamle Skole from 1901 near Brønshøj Square and features a concert hall for music, theatre, and lectures. This is one of two Danish dates on the tour. Tickets cost 175 kr.

About the venue: Brønshøj Kulturhus

BRØK - Brønshøj Kulturhus opened in August 2024 in the renovated Brønshøj Gamle Skole, a building from 1901 right next to Brønshøj Torv. The house has a performance hall for concerts, theatre, film and talks, along with workshops for ceramics, textiles and visual arts. It is run by the City of Copenhagen and partly replaces the former Kulturhuset Pilegården.

Since the 1990s, Hamburg-based Gabriel Coburger has built a reputation across the European jazz circuit through his distinctive, full-bodied saxophone sound and original compositions. He has performed at the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, collaborated with the NDR Bigband, and released new material in 2026.

About: Martin Schack

A west Jutland jazz figure rooted in Ribe, Schack plays piano and Hammond B3 across a repertoire ranging from hard bop to Danish folk songs. He brings a track record of touring Asia and Europe with American jazz stars, alongside years of work as an arranger and educator.
