Zinssou Quartet recently won the Jazz Competition and has since established itself with an approach that stretches the jazz quartet format in new directions. With piano and cello at the forefront, they blend elements from classical music, neo-soul and contemporary jazz - incorporating spoken word, thoughtful transitions and a dynamic range that moves from intense, powerful passages to fragile, intimate moments.

The band works intuitively and exploratively in pursuit of an honest and living expression.
