Nordsø & Theill are a Danish duo formed by guitarist Mikkel Nordsø and tabla player Ole Theill, both of whom have been key figures on the Copenhagen jazz scene since the late 1970s. Theill studied tabla under Indian master Ishwar Lal Mishra, while Nordsø also plays sitar, oud and n'goni. Their music blends acoustic world-music textures with electronic beats, drawing on careers that have included collaborations with Santana, George Duke and Van Morrison. The duo releases on Copenhagen label Music For Dreams and has put out four studio albums since 2017.
The title track 'Sea View' from the duo's latest album was selected for Music For Dreams' Sunset Sessions Vol. 13, released in July 2025.
Nordsø & Theill appeared on Music For Dreams' official Best of 2024 compilation with the track 'Sea View'.
The duo released their fourth studio album, Sea View, on Music For Dreams on September 3, 2024 - supported by Koda's Culture Fund and Music Publishers.
The single 'Beam Me Up' from the upcoming album Sea View was released on May 7, 2024.
Mikkel Nordsø was nominated for the Carl Prize 2022 as 'Composer of the Year' in the roots category for the album 'Nine'.
