About

Peter Adolphsen is a Danish author born in Aarhus in 1972, who made his debut in 1996 with 'Små historier' (Small Stories) and has since established himself as one of the most distinctive voices of his literary generation. His work ranges from dense, experimental short prose and speculative novellas to nonsense poetry and children's books, all marked by philosophical curiosity and a playful relationship with language. He trained at the Danish Writers' School (Forfatterskolen) and publishes primarily with Gyldendal. In 2019 he received the Danish Arts Foundation's lifetime grant of honour, and has also won the Niels Klim Prize (2013) and the Zinklar Prize (2022).
