Writing Workshop: Short Prose
Hovedbiblioteket, Copenhagen · Free
This workshop is based on the anthology 'Kortprosa Antologi' (eds. Lars Bukdahl and Peter Adolphsen, Dansklærerforeningens forlag, 2023), the so-called 'fantasy schema', and two dice rolls. Participants explore short prose as a form through various writing exercises and try their hand at creating short prose themselves.
The instructor is Peter Adolphsen (b. 1972), recipient of the Zinklar Prize and a lifetime honorary award. His recent publications include 'Små historier 4' (Gyldendal, 2024, short prose) and 'Din grønklop' (Melodika, 2024, nonsense sonnet crown).
The workshop is for adults and takes place at Copenhagen Main Library, 4th floor, in the LIVE stage area (to the right when you exit onto the floor). Participation is free but requires registration via Billetto. No computers are provided - bring your own and/or paper and pen. Desk space is very limited, so you will likely need to work with your computer or paper in your lap; a writing board can be borrowed. On the 4th floor there is a water station and a coffee machine - bring your own water bottle or flask.
From the main entrance on Krystalgade, reach the 4th floor by elevator, stairs, or escalator to the 3rd floor and then up one flight of stairs. Questions can be directed to literature coordinator Poul-Louis: i343@kk.dk.
