Pia Fris Laneth

About

Pia Fris Laneth (born 1956) is a Danish political scientist, journalist and author specialising in narrative non-fiction about women's history and Danish social history. Her debut, Lillys Danmarkshistorie (2006), became a bestseller and won both LO's Cultural Prize and the KRAKA Prize, while her 2015 book 1915 - da kvinder og tyende blev borgere earned the Weekendavisen Literary Prize and a commendation from the Danish Arts Foundation. Since 2009 she has worked independently as an author, documentary filmmaker and public speaker.
