Prong
American metal band Prong takes the stage at VoxHall in Aarhus.
Prong is an American metal band from New York City, founded in 1986 by guitarist and vocalist Tommy Victor, who was then working as a sound engineer at the punk club CBGB. The band forged a distinctive blend of thrash, groove metal and industrial textures that left a clear mark on 1990s metal, above all through the album "Cleansing" (1994) and the single "Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck". Victor has remained the sole constant member across 14 studio albums and decades of touring, with Prong becoming regulars at major festivals such as Wacken Open Air.
Prong announced their self-titled 14th studio album, coming out November 6, 2026 via Napalm Records - the band's first release on the new label.
The band announced the European "Prong Uprising" tour in November 2026, with stops in Copenhagen (19/11) and Aarhus (20/11).
Prong released the live album "Live And Uncleansed" via SPV/Steamhammer, recorded over seven nights in July and August 2025.
Tommy Victor confirmed that a new studio album was in the mixing phase and described it as faster and more varied than its predecessor "State of Emergency".
Former Prong drummer Aaron Rossi died on January 27, 2025 from a heart attack, 44 years old.
