Soulfly is a Brazilian-American heavy metal band founded in 1997 by Max Cavalera following his departure from Sepultura. The band fuses groove and thrash metal with Brazilian tribal percussion and world music influences, addressing themes of spirituality, indigenous culture and social resistance. Their self-titled 1998 debut launched a run of thirteen studio albums, all with Cavalera as the sole constant member. The band remains active, releasing their thirteenth album Chama in October 2025.
Soulfly announced a European summer tour in 2026 ('Tribal Technology Tour') with concerts in Berlin, Leipzig, Bochum and Kortrijk, among others.
