Rolando Luna is a Cuban pianist from Havana, trained at the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory, and one of the most distinctive voices in Cuban jazz and Latin music today. He is best known as Omara Portuondo's long-standing accompanist and as pianist of the Buena Vista Social Club during their 2015 "Adiós" world tour, which included a performance at the White House at the invitation of President Barack Obama. He won both the first prize and the audience award at the 2007 Montreux Jazz Piano Competition, and has contributed to over 200 recordings. His playing moves freely between Cuban son, jazz and classical music.
