Shaki Tavi is the project of Oklahoma-born, LA-based DIY musician Leon Manson. After a self-titled debut in 2021, the band released Minor Slip in August 2025 on Felte - eight songs of fuzzed guitars, overdriven drums and Manson's weathered, harmonized baritone sitting somewhere between shoegaze, 90s alt-rock and dream-pop. Manson also works at Non Plus Ultra, an LA non-profit supporting emerging musicians.
Minor Slip, Shaki Tavis Felte-debut, was released on August 15, 2025 and received positive reviews from, among others, Stereogum and Dusted Magazine.
Stereogum named the single 'Breaker' one of the week's best songs in connection with the album announcement in May 2025.
Shaki Tavi played a European tour in November 2025 with stops in, among others, Budapest, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Paris and London.
The band toured in the USA in October 2025 with concerts in Oklahoma City, Charlotte and Beacon, NY.
