About

Skalnastal is a five-piece pagan/heavy metal band founded in 2018 in Jade, Nordfriesland, now based in Tønder, southern Denmark. They are notable for writing much of their material in Frisian, making them one of very few metal acts to use the language. Their 2024 EP "Recognize Us" and the 2025 album "Saga" draw on Norse mythology and the cultural heritage of Europe's indigenous minorities.
