About

Soreption are a technical death metal band from Sundsvall, Sweden, founded in 2005 by drummer Tony Westermark and guitarist Anton Svedin. Known for combining surgical precision with heavy groove, they have released four full-length albums, most recently "Jord" (2022) on Unique Leader Records. Metal Hammer noted that their brand of death metal sounds distinctly un-Swedish, and they are widely regarded as one of the most influential acts in the tech-death subgenre.
