Steen Hjul Lybke

About

Steen Hjul Lybke (b. 1992) is a Danish sociologist and doctoral researcher at the Centre for Science and Faith at the University of Copenhagen, supervised by Hartmut Rosa, where his work centres on the question of the good life in an age of ecological crisis. Since April 2025 he has been affiliated with the Max Weber Centre in Erfurt, and in February 2026 he co-authored 'Social energi - Kilder til kritisk overskud i en ophedet tidsalder' (Hans Reitzels Forlag) with Rosa. He has also taught sociology and social theory at the University of Copenhagen's Department of Political Science and at Grundtvig's Folk High School.
