Stine Michel is a Danish singer, composer, author and storyteller, born 1973, who has spent over two decades creating music-narratives for audiences of all ages. She has released 13 albums, won a Danish Music Award for the folk album Natravn (2008) and received the Carl Prize as Composer of the Year for children's music in 2016. Her work weaves Nordic folk, singer-songwriter traditions and literary source texts into theatrical concert-narratives in which she performs as storyteller, singer and composer simultaneously.
Stine Michels new concert narrative Babettes Gæstebud, freely adapted after Karen Blixen, had its preview on January 19, 2025 at Goldschmidts Musikakademi in Copenhagen and official premiere on January 23 at Rungstedlund.
