Concert Story: Babette's Feast with Stine Michel Trio

In a lyrical and dramatic musical universe, Babette tells her story: a refugee's journey from war to a foreign land, a woman who loses everything but transforms pain, sorrow and passion into a divine meal as the artist she is. "Babette's Feast" is about faith, hope, art, identity and love.

The concert alternates between storytelling and newly composed music with echoes of Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits, songs inspired by French folklore as well as Nordic melodies and soundscapes. Music is played on pots and pans, and various things are conjured from Babette's pot.
