Stop Making Sense is a concept orchestra from Aarhus, Denmark, that has been reimagining Jonathan Demme's 1984 Talking Heads concert film of the same name since the late 1990s. The band recreates the spirit and energy of the film without straight imitation, mixing songs from the film with hits from the wider Talking Heads catalogue and the occasional TomTom Club or B-52's number. Singer Keld Hosbond fronts the band as the closest Danish approximation to David Byrne's charisma and voice.
Fatter Eskil in Aarhus presented Stop Making Sense as an over 20-year-old Aarhusian concept orchestra based on the Talking Heads film from 1984.
