Thomas Clausen (born 5 October 1949 in Copenhagen) is a Danish jazz pianist and composer who has been a leading figure in European jazz since the late 1960s. He has performed and recorded with an exceptional range of international jazz legends, including Miles Davis, Dexter Gordon, Ben Webster and Dizzy Gillespie, and is described by the national Danish encyclopedia as one of the important musicians in European jazz since the early 1980s. He received the Ben Webster Award in 1989 and has held a lifelong honorary grant from the Danish Arts Foundation since 2013.
