About the venue: Metronomen

Metronomen is Frederiksberg's self-run music venue, where artists and organisers book the space and handle their own concerts from start to finish. The building has stood beside Aksel Møllers Have since 1996, originally built as an exhibition hall during the European Capital of Culture year. It has two ground-floor rooms - a larger hall seating around 85 and a smaller domed room for about 30.

About: Thomas Clausen

A pianist who has shaped Danish and European jazz since the 1960s, Thomas Clausen built his reputation both as a sought-after sideman for American jazz giants and as the leader of his own ever-evolving trios. His playing weaves Nordic lyricism with classical and Brazilian influences - a range recognised by the Ben Webster Award and a lifelong grant from the Danish Arts Foundation.
