Thor Boding is a Danish bassist, guitarist, songwriter and author, best known as the bass player in the internationally acclaimed blues and roots band The Blues Overdrive. He is also the frontman and lead vocalist of the psychedelic retro-rock group Syreregn, and has released solo material under his own name since 2014, exploring a more pop- and folk-oriented sound.
The Blues Overdrive released the live album "Live Slices" on May 22, 2026 on Cherry Records - the band's first vinyl record - with Thor Boding on bass.
"Live Slices" received positive reviews from international blues media, including Liverpool Sound and Vision and Blues Magazine (Holland).
The Blues Overdrive performed at Gimsinghoved Festival in Struer in August 2025 with Thor Boding on bass.
