The Blues Overdrive

The Blues Overdrive plays Danish roots and blues at an international level. Over 25 years, the band has earned widespread recognition through concerts, airplay, and TV appearances across much of Europe and the world - and has twice won Album of the Year at the European Blues Awards, along with numerous other prizes and nominations.

The music combines classic Chicago blues with hypnotic delta-grooves and stays true to the roots of blues. Band members have collaborated with names like Paul McCartney, Manfred Mann, Duke Robillard (Tom Waits, Bob Dylan, Fabulous Thunderbirds and others), Noel Redding (Jimi Hendrix), Lazy Lester, James Harman, Povl Dissing, and Kira Skov, and have toured with British blues legend Ian Siegal. Holland's leading blues magazine describes them as a "world-class blues band from Denmark" and compares them to The Fabulous Thunderbirds. Gaffa's reviewer Esben Strunk wrote: "International standard on Danish blues boys' album."

The band has just released the live album Live Slices. The concert is seated, and doors open at 19:00.
