Music House Brønshøj: The Blues Overdrive

The Blues Overdrive performs Danish roots and blues, having won Album of the Year twice at the European Blues Awards, along with numerous other national and international accolades. Over the years, the band has performed worldwide with concerts, radio play, and television appearances.

The music blends classic Chicago blues with hypnotic delta-grooves, staying true to the original sources of the blues. Band members have collaborated with names like Paul McCartney, Manfred Mann, Duke Robillard, Noel Redding, Lazy Lester, James Harman, Povl Dissing, and Kira Skov, and have toured with British blues legend Ian Siegal.

Currently, the band is releasing the vinyl album Live Slices - a raw-format live recording. GAFFA reviewer Esben Strunk praised the band's international format and ability to renew the blues tradition while maintaining respect for its roots: "The craftsmanship is absolutely in order here."
