TRUCS is a percussive duo from Pau, in the French Pyrenees, formed by Alexis Toussaint and Romain Colautti, both formerly of the Gascon ensemble Artús. Their setup centres on two prepared drum kits, string tambourines and a collection of sonnailles - the tuned livestock bells of Béarn - all processed through electro-acoustic devices to give the percussion a harmonic dimension drawn from Pyrenean folk tradition. Their self-titled debut album was released on 23 May 2025 via PAGANS/HART BRUT, with track titles in Occitan/Gascon, and the project has since toured festivals across France and Spain.
TRUCS performs on August 15, 2026 at L'Abbadiale in Arras-en-Lavedan as part of the Rencontres Arts, Mots, Nature festival.
