About the venue

Det Kongelige Teater is Denmark's national stage, home to the Royal Orchestra, the Royal Danish Ballet and the opera company. The historic building on Kongens Nytorv dates from 1874, while the modern Opera House on Holmen opened in 2005. Together they stage opera, ballet and drama to international standards.
