About the venue

Fængselsmuseet in Horsens occupies the old state prison, built in 1853 and in use until 2006. The museum traces the history of the prison and the Danish penal system through original cells, equipment and personal accounts. The site also hosts concerts and large-scale events within its striking 19th-century walls.
