About the venue

The National Test Centre for Large Wind Turbines lies in Østerild Klitplantage near Thisted in Thy and is run by DTU. Manufacturers from Denmark and abroad test prototypes of some of the world's largest wind turbines here, with room for seven test stands and turbines up to 250 metres tall. The guided tour explains how the turbines are put through their paces before series production.
