About the venue

Vartov is a historic complex in central Copenhagen, built in 1755 as a hospital and poorhouse. It is best known as the workplace of N.F.S. Grundtvig, who preached in Vartov Kirke for more than three decades. Today the complex hosts lectures, meetings and cultural events rooted in the Grundtvigian tradition.
