Trained by the late Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, Bodilsen has taken his bass from Birdland in New York to the Berlin Philharmonie, touring both as a leader and as sideman to artists such as Stefano Bollani and Gregory Porter. He has over 100 recordings to his name and runs his own label, Mingus Records.
