Jesper Bodilsen (born 5 January 1970 in Haslev, Denmark) is a Danish jazz double bassist, composer and producer widely regarded as one of Europe's leading bassists. A student of Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, he has collaborated with artists including Stefano Bollani, Ed Thigpen, Brad Mehldau and Gregory Porter, contributing to more than 100 recordings - several on ECM Records. In 2021 he founded his own label, Mingus Records, and holds a teaching post at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus.
